he Royal Family as a Role Model
|
aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.
When people visited Lilliland to enjoy the Alpine Mountains and the large Castle Lake, they also wanted to know something about the history of Lilliland. As Lilliland was getting ready to celebrate its 1000th year anniversary, more and more people wanted to know about the Royal Lodge family history, as well.
Since Baron Von Lodge was preparing to marry Lady Angela of Alpine Castle, the couple seemed to be the center of curious interest and conversation. People were surprised to learn that the wedding was arranged by the family elders from both families. Both the Baron and Lady Angela were very happy with the partnership and looked forward to the wedding.
People said quietly to themselves that this was the 1900s and how could two people who are a part of an arranged marriage really be in love. The answer was clear to anyone who watched the royal couple. They just adored each other. Their backgrounds, education and interests were very similar. They enjoyed doing things together.
The royal couple also knew that meeting and greeting people was a part of their life. Everyone wanted to watch them and take their picture. The royal couple knew that they must always appear to be at their best. But they also liked their quiet, private moments. Being a role model for the citizens of Lilliland was very important and it promoted peacefulness and continuity in the royal family's line of ancestors. The citizens loved and respected the royal family and the royal family loved and respected the fine people of Lilliland.
