ngel With a Golden Harp

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

The summers in Lilliland were very peaceful and relaxed. Sometimes during the summer months, on Sunday afternoons, a woman dressed all in white would appear with her golden harp. The music was very beautiful and enjoyable. Her arrival times were not known by anyone, but when she appeared the word got around Lilliland very quickly.

She would play her harp for about two hours, then she seemed to disappear. No one knew exactly who she was or where she came from. The Baron was very curious about her and asked his chief advisor, Professor Hamblin, to find out as much about her as he could.

The Baron and Lady Angela of Alpine Castle wanted to invite her to play at Lilliland Castle, knowing that the woman needed personal privacy which had to be respected at all times.

When she played, people gave donations, but they were all returned with a message that everyone should strive to live in peace and be kind to one another.

The Professor found out quite by accident that the lady who played the golden harp was named Angel and that she was a sister in a nearby convent. She played in the park on her days off during her free time.

The head of the convent was contacted and invited to Lilliland Castle along with Sister Angel who was asked to play her harp at the visit.

She did just that and played for the royal family in attendance. Lady Angela was especially delighted because as a child she had studied the harp.

Lady Angela said that she thought that the fine music that Sister Angela played on the harp seemed to blend in perfectly with the ambience of the Alpine Mountains that surrounded Lilliland.

Everyone agreed with that. The music gave everyone a feeling of peace and joy.

“It’s like music from the angels in Heaven,” the Baron concluded.
