ister Mary, Maybe?

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.
The Baron had a college friend, William Staub, visiting him and he spoke to the Baron about a matter concerning his younger sister. It seemed that William’s sister, Mary, was in a convent as a nun. But she said that she was not happy being a member of the order and was considering resigning her position. But she added that if she resigned, she would not know what else to do with her life.
Finally, during the visit to Lilliland, the Baron’s friend received a letter saying that his sister had left the convent and was on her way to meet with him in Lilliland.
The Baron made all the arrangements for her to stay with Lady Angela at Alpine Castle. The Baron felt that they would be good friends and she would be very understanding about the situation.
The day came when Sister Mary arrived from the convent. After several meetings and discussion, no one could suggest how she might go about resolving her concerns.
Professor Hamblin was asked for his opinion. He met with Sister Mary several times and came to the conclusion that she was a very bright woman and needed something more of a challenge than her current type of position.
Lady Angela said that she had a small church on her property and there was residence hall attached. If Sister Mary really needed a challenge, why not move into the church at Alpine Castle and live in the residence hall. Both buildings had not been used in many years but were still in good condition.
What that meant was that Sister Mary could establish her own religious order. The order could be devoted to helping the sick that needed special care that this order could give.
The idea was acceptable and Sister Mary created her own independent order for nuns. They would be trained in the proper procedures to care for the sick. The Lilliland Hospital liked the idea and all the training was taught there. This worked out very well. Sister Mary now felt that she had the type of position that she was really suited for and enjoyed very much.
Many women from Lilliland applied to Sister Mary to become a member of the convent and to do the work that would help so many people.
Lady Angela, the Baron and Professor Hamblin, along with Mary’s brother, William, were very pleased with the outcome.
