ousin Kelly's Birthday Visit

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

Lady Angela of Alpine Castle, who is engaged to the Baron, had a cousin in America. The cousin, Kelly, lived in Florida and as a 16th birthday present, she was invited to visit Lady Angela and stay with her in Alpine Castle.

Lady Angela had been spending some time with the Baron discussing various activities that her 16-year old cousin might enjoy.

Sailing, horseback riding, tennis, and golf, plus shopping at many of the fine Lilliland stores all came to mind. Since it had been some time since Lady Angela last saw cousin Kelly, it was somewhat difficult trying to plan events that she might like during here visit. Lady Angela would also arrange to have several young men and women her same age for her to socialize with and make her feel more comfortable.

When the day came and Kelly arrived Lady Angela saw a tall, blonde, attractive young lady. She was welcomed at a dinner with Lady Angela and the Baron, along with Professor Hamblin. When asked later, during a private moment, what she might like to do during her visit, she said that she would like to discover her roots. She wanted to know all about her ancestors who used to live in Lilliland many years ago.

Professor Hamblin said that he would be delighted to review the historical documents in the library with her so that she could obtain a true feeling of her Lilliland heritage.

After a few days of meeting with the Professor, she discovered that she was truly of noble birth and that had she been born in Lilliland, she would be known as Lady Kelly.

So therefore, while cousin Kelly was in Lilliland, she would be known as Lady Kelly. Lady Kelly accepted the offer to go horseback riding with Lady Angela. Lady Kelly knew how to ride well and so she was invited to select any horse in the royal stables to ride. She picked out a somewhat lazy horse named Toby, but when they met and Lady Kelly started to talk to the horse, Toby brightened up and they soon became fast friends. Kelly and Toby really hit it off well.

Thus far the visit was very enjoyable for everyone.
