inging Sensation Timothy Jones Visits Lilliland

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

The Winterfest was one of the most carefully planned and prepared events of the season. Lady Angela of Alpine Castle and the Baron took great care to appoint a fine committee to run the event.

As the December event was being planned a few problems developed. It seemed that the committee could not find a star performer for the event. One of the members of the program committee suggested the popular singer Timothy Jones from Florida. The committee liked the idea and contacted Mr. Jones’ manager to see if he could perform at the event. The dates were given, but unfortunately Mr. Jones, while appearing in Europe at that time, was already booked for appearances in London and Paris, with a final concert in Rome. The schedule was very tight and very difficult to change.

Since the committee really wanted Mr. Jones as their first choice, they asked the Baron to see what he could do, if anything. Otherwise, the Winterfest would not have the caliber of star that they wanted.

The Baron spoke with his chief advisor, Professor Hamblin, to see if something could be done. Lady Angela was also asked for her suggestions.

Lady Angela said that she knew the wife of Mr. Jones and would contact her as a personal favor. She would invite Mr. Jones and his wife to be her guests at the Alpine Castle during their concert tour.

Lady Angela’s plan worked and a slight modification in Mr. Jones’ schedule would allow him to appear at the Winterfest event. Jones was widely known for the romantic ballads that he sang. It put the audience in a wonderful mood and people wanted him to sing another after another.

Timothy Jones and his wife enjoyed their visit in Lilliland and offered to return again. They left for Rome and then back to Florida for more popular singing engagements.
