nlikely Sisters, Irene and Mary

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

Mary and Irene were sisters who lived with their parents in a nice home in Lilliland. They went to school together and enjoyed each other’s company and had lots of friends.

But as they got into their late teen years, they began to develop interests that were different in important ways.

Irene could dress in very conservative clothing and be very quiet in her ways while Mary would wear bright colors and liked to go to as many parties as she could. She liked to be surrounded by young men and was flirtatious at every opportunity.

There have been times when young men would fight with each other because of the way that Mary would flirt with them.

When a romance developed with one of the young men, Mary learned that she was expecting a baby. At first Mary was overjoyed. But this good news would quickly turned unpleasant when the young man learned that he was going to become a father. The young man left Lilliland never to be seen or heard from again. Mary was shocked.

When Mary’s parents found out about Mary’s baby, they quickly packed her up and sent her to a distant relative in Scotland. The plan was that Mary would have the baby there and put it up for adoption and then return to Lilliland. She would quietly resume her life as a single woman.

Irene was there to support her sister during this sad experience. Mary decided to wait until she was married before having a baby so the child’s birth would be joyous and not sorrowful.

After this experience, the sisters, under Irene’s influence, became closer and looked out for each other as they went through life together.
