oxy Lady Sails On

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

The Baron’s fiancée was Lady Angela of Alpine Castle. Her castle was conveniently located nearby, also on Castle Lake.

Visitors would often ask why the sailboat on Lady Angela’s lakeside dock was named Foxy Lady. Lady Angela would answer any questions about the Foxy Lady and say that it was not hers, but belonged to her cousin, Lay Kathleen Foxworth of Paris. The sailboat was rarely used.

Then lately, during the past month, the sailboat was seen breezing along on the lake under full sail, with a single woman aboard. It was Lady Kathleen Foxworth herself. A tragedy had recently occurred in her personal life. Her husband, Lord George Foxworth, was killed in a mountain skiing accident in Switzerland. Lady Angela had invited Lady Foxworth to stay with her at Alpine Castle for her year of mourning.

In the privacy of her chambers, Lady Angela would refer to her cousin as Foxy and Foxy would refer to Angela as Angel.

The period of mourning for Lord George Foxworth was not always smooth for the Foxy Lady and she would spend many hours by herself in deep sadness.

Lady Angela asked the Baron and Professor Hamblin, their advisor, if there was anything more they could do to make Foxy more comfortable.

Professor Hamblin said that for a departed and dearly loved family member, it takes about a year for the person to go through the several phases of recovery. It was best not to rush the mourning stages and not to let anyone say to her, “Snap out of it and get on with your life.” Let nature take its course and things will naturally work out for the best in the long run.

The warmth of love ones around is the best solution.
