he Nanny House in Lilliland
|
aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.
Baron Von Lodge was a handsome bachelor engaged to marry the beautiful Lady Angela of Alpine Castle. The wedding was arranged many years ago by both royal families. The Baron felt that he was getting the better part of the arrangement. He told all his friends that Lady Angela was the nicest person any man could wish for in a wife.
The Baron realized that his major responsibility as the leader of Lilliland was to the safety, health and well being of all of the citizens of the country. Many times a family would have to struggle to overcome adversity. The death of a loved one, unemployment, crop failure, livestock disease and a hundred other different calamities that can happen, and all to often do happen, to nearly everyone. Hard times can make families split up temporarily.
The Baron and Lady Angela have developed a particular solution to aid in times of family crisis. They established a Nanny House to assist in the solution of family problems. The Nanny House offered full-time, round-the-clock care for any parents in Lilliland who needed someone to care for their children for a short time in order to provide the parents an opportunity to resolve the family crisis they were facing. The Nannies were all from England and came with excellent qualifications to the Baron and Lady Angela.
The Nanny House helped people through a difficult time while they approached their problems, without worrying about their children, so that the family could get back on their feet again. The Baron and Lady Angela received deep praise for their devotion to the Nanny House from the people of Lilliland. The Nanny House is free to all the citizens and everyone likes the Nannies who work there.
The average stay for the children at the Nanny House is only three days, but that time gives everyone a chance to sort things out. Most family problems are solvable with a little help from some friends. And that's the way it is in Lilliland.
