acy, the Pet Wolf

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.

Young Johnny Marshall, who lived in Lilliland, had a group of neighbors complaining that he was raising a pet wolf in his house and yard. Everyone felt that when the pet wolf grew up it would be dangerous to everyone in the neighborhood. The neighbors secretly got together and decided that one night when Johnny was asleep, they would steal the pet wolf, Macy.

The Baron heard about the problem that the neighbors did not like the wolf as a pet, and asked Laky Angela of Alpine Castle for help in the solution of the problem.

Lady Angela asked if a veterinarian would examine the pet to see if it really was a wolf. Johnny Marshall agreed to the examination by the animal doctor and the results were given to the Baron and Lady Angela. To their surprise the animal was not a wolf but a German shepherd. Since Macy, the German shepherd, had some markings that resembled a wolf, it confused everyone and they all believed that the pet was a wolf. Nobody bothered to check into the accuracy of the neighbors' conclusion.

When the neighbors heard the news that Macy was not a wolf, but a German shepherd, everyone was relieved and very sorry that they made such a mistake. Thank goodness Lady Angela had the good sense to check with the proper authority, a veterinarian in this case, before anyone did something that they would later regret and feel foolish in doing. Johnny Marshall did a fine job in raising Macy, or Macy did a fine job in raising Johnny. Macy was a very smart dog and was very helpful to all the citizens of Lilliland. Everyone loved Macy.
