ady Angela’s Secret Swiss Diet

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

Lady Angela of Alpine Castle, the Baron’s fiancée, always wanted to look her best for the Baron and at diplomatic receptions. Her personal dressmaker knew very well the details that the Lady liked regarding her clothing.

When Lady Angela began to notice that her clothes fit tighter than usual, she called in her dressmaker for alterations. However, they both agreed that it would be easier if Lady Angela lost pounds rather than having everything altered to a larger size. A diet was the answer, Lady Angela thought.

But Lady Angela did not want anyone to know that she was on a diet, so she decided to secretly visit a famous Swiss doctor for a consultation about what to do.

Lady Angela did not want anyone to know about her concerns regarding a slight weight gain problem, so she quietly went off to Switzerland to consult with the specialist.

The doctor said that she could lose the extra pounds if she did the following: No eating between meals or late night snacks; at mealtime only half the normal amount of food on her plate; and at receptions, avoid everything if possible. Her daily walks around in the garden and along the shores of Lake Lilliland were a fine exercise to continue.

When Lady Angela returned from Switzerland she followed the diet doctor’s advice. The hardest thing to follow was the late night snack, but she was going to give the diet a chance by doing everything that she should.

As the first several weeks on the diet passed, nobody noticed anything and her secret diet went undetected. Finally, she noticed that she had lost eight pounds the first month. The second month she lost another eight pounds. Now people were beginning to notice her new slimness. She still did not tell anyone about the secret diet, but blamed the weight loss on more than usual exercise.

After the third month, the dressmaker said that everything fit nicely again, but if she lost any more weight, she would have to start taking some of her favorite dresses in an inch or two.

Lady Angela’s diet was a success and she was very pleased with the results.
