imi’s Tea Service

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

While Lady Angela of Alpine Castle was looking over antiques in a shop in Lilliland, she came across a tea service. There was nothing special about the tea service, the cups, pitchers, teapot, etc., were relatively plain except for some small red rose buds on it.

The shop owner, upon seeing Lady Angela’s interest in the tea service, said that it had belonged to the Mimi Tea Room that used to be in the center of town several years ago. When Mimi passed away, she instructed that her tearoom be closed forever and everything was to be donated to a charity and sold in one of their antique shops. This is how the tea service came to found in the shop.

There was a little message in the teapot that said that when tea was served from this service to two people who may think that they are in love, then true love will be found between them as they partake of the tea.

Lady Angela bought the set and had it carefully wrapped and delivered to Alpine Castle.

While she and the Baron were very much in love, and engaged, she felt that a cup of tea from this service could help now and then. That evening, when she served tea to the Baron, he said that the tea tasted extra good and gave Lady Angela a kiss.

“Well,” Lady Angela thought, “maybe Mimi had something good going for herself.”

Lady Angela planned to use the tea service again and again when she wanted her personal love life to pick up a bit.

Perhaps it wasn’t really the tea service but the pleasant attitude that people believed that it brought. If the tea drinkers smiled romantically at each other, who knows what will happen next?

Besides, teatime was always a nice time for friends and lovers.
