rchangel Patricia's Granddaughter Returns
|
ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.
Stories of Archangel Patricia returning to earth to save wild birds and animals from illegal hunters in Lilliland were well known. Even though there were strict laws that forbade guns and hunting, some outside people crossed the border into Lilliland for the purpose of hunting birds and animals that roamed freely in the Alpine Mountains.
While Archangel Patricia had been gone for many years, her house, a large manor house next to Lilliland Lake stood empty except for a caretaker’s family. Then, one day the mansion received a fresh coat of paint, some new flowers in the garden, and the large grounds appeared to come to life again in all its splendor, just like when Archangel Patricia was alive and lived there.
Everyone wondered what was happening at the old mansion to make it so cheerful looking again. Finally, the Baron asked Professor Hamblin to find out what he could about these happenings.
Professor Hamblin received an invitation from Patricia III who was returning to Lilliland to live in her ancestral manor house. When the Professor showed up for the appointment, he was impressed with the large picture in the great hall of the manor house of the woman that would be Archangel Patricia, young Patricia’s great grandmother. When Patricia III first met the Professor, she was standing near the painting and she looked very much like her great grandmother. What a striking resemblance! The Professor wondered why the invitation for the meeting.
Patricia III said that she had been living in the United States, in New York, and decided to return to her ancestral home for an extended stay, and she wanted advice from the Professor on how to announce her return.
The Professor said that he would ask Lady Angela of Alpine Castle to make all the arrangements for a reception announcing her return. Lady Angela was delighted and had a reception to welcome Patricia back to Lilliland. They would soon become enduring friends because of their love of kindness to animals and the beauty of nature.
