ire in Alpine Castle

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.

The Baron is engaged to Lady Angela of Alpine Castle, which is just a short distance from Lilliland Castle. Lady Angela lives with her castle staff. Her castle is right on the edge of Castle Lake with a very scenic view of Lilliland and the Alpine Mountains.

Lady Angela has recently received a gift of a pet cat that she named Noelle because she received it as a Christmas gift. Noelle gets along with everyone at Alpine Castle and follows Lady Angela around from room to room. Noelle even sleeps at the foot of the large bed that Lady Angela has in her large bedroom.

Baron Von Lodge is a very safety-conscious leader and he is always aware of mountain forest fires caused by carelessness and lightning. He also insists that each room in the castle have a fresh bucket of water available to put out any fire. The Baron mentioned frequently that everything in a castle is subject to fire, the large tapestries, the wooden floors and ceilings, the large fireplaces and the curtains, all of which are in abundance in the castle. He also reminded Lady Angela to keep buckets of water in every other room in her castle.

Lady Angela, who loved her pet cat Noelle, was sometimes concerned that the cat might wake her up, pawing her, for no apparent reason except that the cat felt lonely. One night a candle fell over catching Lady Angela's bedroom curtains on fire. The cat pawed Lady Angela to wake her to the danger. Lady Angela put the bucket of water into action and put out the fire quickly before it spread. Noelle saved Lady Angela and Alpine Castle from a very bad fire.
