ysterious Floating Skeleton

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

Lilliland was a very friendly and attractive place that attracted many tourists year round. Everything was done to make certain that the tourists thoroughly enjoyed themselves. In the height of the summer tourist season, when lake front activities were very popular, a strange thing happened.

From the dark depths of Castle Lake emerged a skeleton attached to a small damaged and rotting fishing boat. The boat was about twenty feet long, ideal for a person to fish by himself. It must have been at the bottom of the lake so long that everything was rotted away. All that was left of the fisherman were his bones that were attached to the boat in a maze of fishing line.

An investigation indicated that this man had been fishing when a storm came up, and, in his attempt to get ashore quickly, the boat capsized and sank. The fisherman became entangled in his fishing fear and went down with the boat. The boat sank to the bottom of the lake where it became trapped between some rocks and was kept there for several years. But who was this fisherman?

The sight of the skeleton trapped in the boat frightened a lot of tourists who immediately packed up and left Lilliland.

The Baron wanted a quick and proper explanation of the reason behind the skeleton so the public would remain calm.

It turned out the name of the boat was “Stormy” and the owner’s name was Brad Wynter. Brad was a good fisherman who believed that the best fish bite in stormy and choppy waves. Unfortunately, the day he chose to test his theory was too dangerous and he drowned. The boat must have been on the bottom of the lake for over two years.

Brad was a private person who lived alone and never told anyone of his whereabouts.

The Baron, as a result of this, developed a fishing advisory to tell boaters and fishermen when the weather was too dangerous to be out on the lake.

Fishing is only a good sport if all the participants get back safely. If they didn't catch anything, they could all go to one of the many seafood restaurants in Lilliland for an enjoyable meal.
