ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

There appeared a growing tide of unrest among some of the citizens of Lilliland. They felt that the royal family seemed too high-and-mighty and had to have many skeletons in their closet.

One such secretive group, the Ghost Riders, a group of dissidents who felt the royal family had many secrets hidden away in the cellar of Lilliland Castle.

Lady Angela of Alpine Castle was also mentioned in the messages that kept appearing about the royal family and their bad deeds.

The Baron would just ignore the messages in hopes that it would all go away. But instead, it got worse. Now, even Lady Angela was accused of hiding misdeeds inside her castle.

At a meeting of Professor Hamblin, Lady Angela and the Baron, a plan was made to face their accusers, the Ghost Riders. Through a third party, the Ghost Riders were asked if they would like to participate in a complete investigation of both Lilliland and Alpine Castles. The investigation would be made by INTERPOL, an investigative police force with a fine reputation of thoroughness and honesty.

A member of Lilliland Castle’s staff, a member of Ghost Riders, and officials from INTERPOL would investigate both castles, room by room.

Bones were found in the cellar of Lilliland Castle. That made the Ghost Riders feel that they had something to go on, but it turned out that the bones were of an old dead dog that belonged to a caretaker that he buried in the cellar without telling anyone.

INTERPOL turned up nothing else and the Ghost Riders group soon disbanded.

Professor Hamblin said to the Baron that there was a rising tide against the monarchies of Europe and they may fall if the division between the upper class and lower class becomes too great. The strong middle class kept everything peaceful because people wanted always to have hope.
