rofessor Hamblin

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.

Before Baron Von Lodge became the head of Lilliland, his father occupied that position for many years. When the young Baron was growing up, he had to attend school to receive the education fit for a future head of a country.

The Baron attended a tutorial form of school with Lady Angela of Alpine Castle. The Baron was a few grades ahead of Lady Angela but not so that the two of them could not be tutored by the same teacher. The Baron had many tutors in his younger days. The lessons were held at Alpine Castle where Lady Angela lived. The tutor, Professor Hamblin, was known for his advanced thinking and was often referred to as a wizard. He maintained a strong belief in living in harmony with, and to respect all of, nature.

In his later years, Professor Hamblin moved into a small cabin high atop Alpine Mountain for a good part of the year. Then he would spend summers either at Alpine Castle or at Lilliland Castle.

People believed that one of the reasons that Baron Von Lodge would marry Lady Angela of Alpine Castle is because they shared the same philosophy of life and the love of nature as taught to them by Professor Hamblin.

When a problem would arise after the Baron became the head of Lilliland, Professor Hamblin was always one of the first people to be consulted. When the Baron decided on the solution to a problem of state, he would also check with Professor Hamblin and ask his opinion.

Everyone in Lilliland was very happy with that arrangement between Baron Von Lodge and Professor Hamblin.
