ittle Molly’s Royal Treatment

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

Lady Patricia would visit Lady Angela of Alpine Castle and the Baron on a regular basis. One thing about Lady Patricia was that she loved to go into town and sit in the park to observe the people of Lilliland. When the weather was nice, she would sit on the same bench and watch the beautiful fountain as well as the people going about their business.

One day she noticed a small calico kitten coming over to her to sit at her feet. The kitten seemed to have wandered away from its mother and was very young, probably only three or four weeks old.

Lady Patricia was concerned about not touching the kitten for fear that it might frighten the mother cat away. But there was no mother cat in sight. A few days later, when Lady Patricia returned to the same park bench, the small kitten came out of the bushes to sit at her feet again. But still there was no mother cat around and no one there who was concerned about the kitten. The kitten looked a little cold and hungry. After an hour, the little kitten still stayed at lady Patricia’s feet and there still was no mother cat around. Most passersby just seemed to ignore the little kitten as its little face looked directly at Lady Patricia’s face.

Finally Lady Patricia said, “Enough is enough,” and picked up the weak body of the little kitten placing it tenderly in her basket-like handbag. The next stop was back to the castle and the royal treatment for this little apparently unwanted kitten.

Lady Patricia fed the kitten very carefully and gave it a warm bed by the fireplace. The kitten seemed very grateful and when it got stronger, it followed Lady Patricia all around the castle. They quickly became good friends and Lady Patricia named her new friend Molly. Molly of Lilliland was a very happy kitten at last.
