iffel Tower Meeting

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.

In the Baron’s library where he kept all the important papers of Lilliland, there was a span of 14 years that was missing from the official records. The missing documents were from the years 1614 to 1628. To complete the records, these historical records had to be found.

For many years Lilliland scholars had searched everywhere to locate the records for these 14 missing years. The importance of the records gave continuity to the identity of the leaders of Lilliland. The proper identity of all ancestors and positions they held were vital. But all efforts to find the missing papers had been futile up to this time.

One day a strange letter came to the Baron. It was from a scholar in Paris who located the missing documents in an old bookstore. The stranger mentioned that he knew that the records had been missing for many years. He did not request any reward or any special favors except to personally meet the Baron and hand over the missing records directly to him.

The stranger with the recovered documents wanted the Baron to come alone to Paris on a particular date and at a certain time and meet him stop the Eiffel Tower to receive the documents.

The Baron replied and accepted the stranger’s request adding that he would like to bring his chief advisor Professor Hamblin along to authenticate the documents.

The meeting took place and everything went well. The Baron thanked the stranger and asked him to name a gift or reward for finding the documents. The stranger said that the only gift he would like was to be invited to Lilliland for a week and to see and enjoy its natural beauty. The Baron arranged the visit and all was well again in Lilliland.
