illiland Dating and the Chaperone

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.

It had been a tradition that when young people began dating, there should be a chaperone present. This was to maintain the proper tone of the date. People learned to enjoy each other's company and the presence of the chaperone helped to avoid any temptation of sexual behavior.

Dating did not start before 16 years of age for the girls and 18 years of age for the boys. Studies, sports, and cultural events were the order of the day for the young people.

To obtain a marriage license in Lilliland, the girl had to be at least 21 years old and the man, at least 25. Both families must approve the union of the couple in marriage.

While the custom was very old, the young married couple had a safe, warm home, a job, and a very fine place provided to raise a family. The maternity area of the hospital is free to all citizens of Lilliland.

If the young couple needs a baby sitter there is always an elder member of the family responsible to be there to serve free.

Their parents arranged the marriage between Baron Von Lodge and Lady Angela of Alpine Castle. They grew up together, both knowing the full responsibility of the Royal Lodge Family and their duty to the citizens of Lilliland.

The family unit keeps everyone together and everyone happy in Lilliland.
