opular School Dating

ometime ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

Lady Angela of Alpine Castle, the Baron’s fiancée, was talking with the Baron about how her cousin, Charles, could be more popular with his dates. His best friend, Robert, always gave his date flowers and took her to dinner. It was just too expensive for Charles to try to keep up with Robert.

How did Robert do it? Charles said that he was just as good a date as Robert. Then things began to occur that gave Charles a clue as to what was happening to give Robert the advantage.

First Charles noted that Robert lived close to a cemetery that had gravesite flowers that were always in great supply.

Charles kept an eye on Robert and sure enough, spotted Robert removing flowers from a grave. When confronted with this, Robert said, “The people are dead and do not really appreciate the flowers anymore.”

Charles asked the priest about the secondary use of the flowers when the service at the cemetery was concluded. The priest said that the cemetery flowers should remain untouched and Robert should not remove them or give them to his girlfriend for any secondary reason. The priest said that he would talk to Robert about his notion that it was all right to remove the gravesite flowers.

Next Robert would always take his date to the same impressive restaurant. The restaurant happened to be owned by a member of Robert’s family. The dinner was often given to Robert free of charge. Charles realized that there was nothing wrong with that.

Charles thought about the whole thing for a while and said to Lady Angela, “Maybe, to impress my dates, I should invite her to some of the social events at the castle.”

Lady Angela said that she would make an effort to include Charles and his date at some of the events at Alpine Castle.

One of the upcoming events to which Charles and his date were invited was to meet a visiting royal family who would be staying at Alpine Castle with Lady Angela.

Charles’ date was, indeed, very impressed.
