lusive and Mysterious Alpine George
|
ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.
At Christmas time each year, a mountain man, dressed all in green, would come down from his mountain retreat and suggest to children that they should give their parents presents.
While no one had ever said that they saw Alpine George for sure, his reputation always preceded the Christmas season each year.
Rumors persisted as to where Alpine George came from. One of the most widely held rumors was that he was a member of a royal family in Prussia. As an only child, he was well protected from the revolutionists that were planning an overthrow of the country. When the revolution came, Alpine George was secretly moved to a monastery in the Alpine Mountains of Lilliland.
Alpine George’s parents, as a royal family of Prussia, did not survive the revolution. While the revolution lasted four years and was overthrown by another group of revolutionists, this time Prussia did not survive as a country.
Unfortunately, a secret band of terrorists were offered a reward in perpetuity to seek out and eliminate Alpine George. In order to survive Alpine George was raised by monks in the small monastery.
The loving care and deep concern for the survival of Alpine George prompted him to devote his life to honoring his parents and dedicated parents everywhere. Therefore, he had always encouraged children to give presents to their parents in appreciation of the care and love in keeping them safe as they grew up.
Until all of the terrorists hunting Alpine George for the reward were brought to justice he had to keep his whereabouts a secret.
This story, of how Alpine George came to be in Lilliland, was only a rumor and if the terrorists learned of this story, they were always told that it might have been just a rumor.
When the terrorists came to realize that a life devoted to hurting other people was a life wasted, they might have turned themselves in to face justice. Their country, Prussia, was long gone and their cause was shameful. It was time to end it all.
So they let Alpine George live the life that he so richly deserved among the people who loved him so dearly.
