ycles of Life

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.
When the Baron met with his chief advisor, Professor Hamblin, and his fiancée, Lady Angela of Alpine Castle, they would talk about many subjects. Some of the topics seemed to repeat year after year.
Professor Hamblin reminded them of the saying, “What goes around comes around.”
Lilliland was not unique in the fact that when a problem came up, was evaluated and resolved, and went away forever. That was just on the case in real life.
The problems may have sounded the same and seem very similar but times were changing and considerations that were not available years ago were available at the current time.
One example was the speed of travel. How train travel had opened up new opportunities for tourists from anywhere in Europe to visit Lilliland in just a few hours. Earlier it took several days. With the dawn of air travel, the time was even shorter.
The changes in society for people with handicaps was changing. Earlier they would be shut in their homes because it was difficult for them to get about to shop and travel. That was slowly changing. It was beginning to look as though the people didn’t have handicaps but were inconvenienced.
Communication skills had drastically improved. At one time, world news was not readily available. Currently, more information was shared from country to country on a much larger scale.
If a crook or criminal entered Lilliland, no one knew anything about that person until he broke the law. Now with INTERPOL his police record was shared with each and every country.
The industrial revolution made everyone’s life better day to day. It was important to keep up to date with all of the rapidly expanding events. The solving of problems was made easier with more information made available to draw upon when deciding a course of action.
Progress was important and exciting in Lilliland.
