hich is the Real Official Bazaar?

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

It seemed that there were two charitable bazaars in Lilliland during the month of July. The two bazaars each ran for one week and sometimes their dates would overlap. They both claimed to be the “official” Lilliland bazaar.

The one group claimed the title because they were first to hold a bazaar to raise money for Lilliland charities. The second group claimed the title because they raise more money for the charities.

Lady Angela was asked to be the honorary queen of the two competing bazaars. She asked the Baron how to handle the requests and the Baron asked his chief advisor, Professor Hamblin for his suggestion.

The Professor said that both were very fine groups and it would not be wise to hurt the feelings of one group by selecting the other as the official bazaar.

Lady Angela was asked by the Baron if she had any preference between the groups. She replied that they were both deserving of the highest praise for their fine work in the field of donations to charities.

The Professor thought about the situation for a week and came back with this proposed solution. He declared that both bazaars would be held, one bazaar the first week in July and the other bazaar the second week of July. Then the dates would not overlap.

Lady Angela said that she would be honored to be honorary queen of both bazaars.

Finally the Professor said that both bazaars could use the title of the official bazaar of Lilliland.

Both bazaar committees got together and liked the plan. They also added that one bazaar would feature certain arts and crafts and the other would feature a different type of arts and crafts.

It all worked out very well and the charities profited from the new plan of both being the official bazaar of Lilliland.
