ountain Cable Car Robberies

ome time ago Baron Von Lodge was the head of a small country near Switzerland known as Lilliland.

When winter skiing first became very popular in Lilliland, it was decided to make that sport as attractive as possible by having a cable car installed to act as a ski lift for the sportsmen. The cable car was an instant success and the number of skiers doubled in just one season. The cable car could carry six skiers to the top of the mountain in just a few minutes.

All was going very well until one day a robbery was reported. It seemed that two skiers wearing typical ski masks held up four of the occupants in the cable car. They made the cable car make an emergency stop by pulling the emergency brake cord that stopped the car next to a beam that had an escape ladder for emergencies. That is how the robbers made their escape.

The Baron was annoyed because both he and Lady Angela used the cable car frequently during the ski season. Professor Hamblin developed a plan to stop the robberies.

But before the plan could be implemented, another robbery took place and the tourists stopped coming to Lilliland for winter skiing because they felt unsafe.

One day, six skiers entered the cable car and began moving up the mountain. Two of the skiers in the cable car wore ski masks. The others were two women and two men who did not know each other.

Then suddenly, the cable car made an emergency stop and the two masked men announced that this was holdup and they pulled out two long knives.

The two women said this was not a hold up because they both had police guns and an official police badge to go with the guns. The two robbers were handcuffed and led off to prison. The two women were INTERPOL detectives on special assignment to catch the cable car robbers. In their disguise, they looked and acted like women on a typical ski party holiday. It foiled any further robberies. The cable car was safe again and skiing in Lilliland was as popular as ever.
