astle Lake Bridal Walk

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.
Lilliland was best known for its beautiful Castle Lake and its snow covered Alpine Mountains. People who lived in Lilliland and those who vacationed there loved to go sailing, hiking, camping and skiing.
When love and romance were in the air there was one place that everyone thought of first, the Castle Lake Bridal Walk. The enchanting tree lined walkway was four miles long on the shores of Castle Lake.
The local folklore said that if a couple was in love and they were very serious about it, they should take a long walk along Castle Lake.
The Baron and his fiancée Lady Angela of Alpine Castle had been seen many times, hand in hand, at sunset, strolling beside the enchanting lake.
To no one’s surprise there were also people who had been married many years who also strolled along the walkway by the lake. The combination of the stately trees, the beautiful and graceful swans nearby, and the majestic view of the Alpine Mountains must have been what brought the older folks back.
One early evening a young couple were celebrating their anniversary with too much champagne. They both were so interested in each other that they accidentally walked off the Bridal Walk right into Castle Lake.
When the Baron heard about this accident he became concerned and wanted to keep this accident from happening again. So he had a meeting with Lady Angela at the Bridal Walk later that evening. He suggested to her that a railing be installed between the walkway and the lake. The rail would be attractive and fit in with the beauty of the Bridal Walk, yet be functional in preventing anyone from accidentally falling into the lake. Lady Angela liked the idea and the wooden railing was soon installed.
With the new railing in position the Castle Lake Bridal Walk was now more popular than ever, including lovers of all ages.
