he Lake Pirates of Lilliland

aron Von Lodge was the head of a small country known as Lilliland near Switzerland. The time was the early 1900s.

The Baron lived in Lilliland Castle on a very large lake known as Castle Lake. For the past several months the Lilliland Castle security officers had informed the Baron that there had been some valuable silver cups and pitchers missing. All of the items were very valuable silver objects with handles. The silver was solid and heavy. Silver objects of equal value without handles were not taken, even though they were right next to items that were stolen.

Rumors spread through the castle that there was a small group of thieves trying to steal items of great value from Baron Von Lodge's family heirloom collection.

When the castle security officers found a gang in the Alpine Mountains that suspiciously looked like thieves, there was no trace of any of the stolen silver items in their camp. Without any evidence that they had any of the missing items, there was no solid proof that they were the thieves. Where did this gang hide the stolen silver items if they really were the thieves, or were they just innocent campers?

The Baron decided to consult with his trusted advisor Professor Hamblin to see what could be done to bring the thieves to justice and have the stolen items returned to the castle. After a few secret meetings with the Professor, a plan was devised. The Baron would have a large pitcher carved of wood and painted in silver to look like a real solid silver pitcher. Within a few days the pitcher was ready and prominently displayed in the castle from where the others were stolen.

The next day, the pitcher was stolen just like the others. However, this time it was found floating in Castle Lake with a string attached to it and the other end tied to a hidden tree limb. That same tree limb had other pieces of string also attached to it. At the other end of these pieces of string, at the bottom of the lake, were the missing silver items from the castle. All of the stolen items were recovered thanks to the baron's and Professor Hamblin's clever plan.

The thieves would steal the silver items and attach a piece of string to one end and the other end to a tree branch next to the lake. When the gang of thieves came to retrieve the stolen items from the lake they were arrested and brought to justice. They were all caught and all of the stolen items were returned. They were also banished from Lilliland.

Everyone in Lilliland was very happy that all of the silver cups and pitchers, the heritage of Lilliland, were returned.
